ACTIVE MASTERCLASS PARTICIPATION
- World-Renowned faculty working together with exceptional cellists in public MasterClasses.
The Texas Cello School believes that every student is an individual and deserves to be treated uniquely, as such each decision will be made on a case by case basis.
*Need and merit based scholarships available. No deserving student will be turned away.
ACTIVE MASTERCLASS PARTICIPATION
All cellists should submit the same application. Only a selected number will be placed in the TexasCellos SESSIONS MasterClass Program
When a decision is made by the TCS admissions committee, you will be notified of program placements and possible scholarship offers.
APPLICATION DEADLINE:
Jan 15, 2025–Early Decisions, Application fee $50
After Jan 15, 2025–Regular Decisions, Application fee $75
AUDITION GUIDLINES:
Two separate Youtube video links labeled:
1. Name of the student
2. Composer
3. Title of the selection/piece with opus numbers
The videos should fulfill the following requirements:
- A piece or a movement demonstrating chamber music experience
- A piece or a movement demonstrating technical accomplishment
A third video, although not required is strongly encouraged.
- A movement from one of solo works by J.S. Bach
ACTIVE OPEN CHAMBER MUSIC
- World-Renowned faculty working together with exceptional College and Post-Grad cellists
- A weekend exploring a wide genre of music through music-making with all young artists. Rehearsals culminate at the end of the weekend for a performance.
- Four Chamber Music MasterClasses
- Chamber Music Rehearsals
- Artists Recitals
- Connecting to your audience-stage presence and dealing with stage fright seminar.
The Fellowship Program is designed for college students, and young professionals with an advanced technique and a cultivated understanding of musical styles.

The Emerging Talent Program is intended for students ages 12 and up. Prerequisites include a demonstration of comfortable shifting, a healthy vibrato, a defined sense of pitch and cultivated ear hand connection.
Has perviously played chamber music and has studied privately with a professional for several years.
