“.. A celebration of chamber music with performances by internationally recognized artists, a side-by-side chamber music collaboration of guest artists with the younger generation of musicians from the Texas Cello School.”

with concerts @ the Halsey Chapel.

ACTIVE OPEN CHAMBER MUSIC PARTICIPANT
- World-Renowned faculty working together with exceptional College and Post-Grad cellists
- A week exploring a wide genre of music through music-making with all young artists. Rehearsals culminate at the end of the week for side-by-side performance with world-renowned faculty members.
- Four Chamber Music Coaching’s
- MasterClasses
- Chamber Music Rehearsals
- Two 50-minute private lessons
- Artists Recitals
- Connecting to your audience-stage presence and dealing with stage fright seminar.
- A week exploring a wide genre of music through music-making with all young artists. Rehearsals culminate at the end of the week for side-by-side performance with world-renowned faculty members.
The Fellowship Program is designed for college students, and young professionals with an advanced technique and a cultivated understanding of musical styles.
The Texas Cello School believes that every student is an individual and deserves to be treated uniquely, as such each decision will be made on a case by case basis.
*Need and merit based scholarships available. No deserving student will be turned away.
Fellowship Program
All experienced chamber musicians should submit the same application. Only a selected number will be placed in the Texas Cello School’s Open Chamber Music Fellowship Program.
When a decision is made by the TCS admissions committee, you will be notified of program placements and possible scholarship offers.
APPLICATION DEADLINE:
Jan 15, 2025–Early Decisions, Application fee $75
After Jan 15, 2025–Regular Decisions, Application fee $100
AUDITION GUIDLINES:
Three separate Youtube video links labeled:
1. Name of the student
2. Composer
3. Title of the selection/piece with opus numbers
The three videos should fulfill the following requirements:
- A piece or a movement demonstrating chamber music experience
- A piece or a movement demonstrating technical accomplishment
- A movement from one of solo works by J.S. Bach

- World-Renowned faculty working together with exceptional young musicians.
- A week exploring a wide genre of music through music-making with all young artists. Rehearsals culminate at the end of the week for side-by-side performance with world-renowned faculty members.

- MasterClasses
- Chamber Music Rehearsals
- Two 50-minute private lessons

The Emerging Talent Program is intended for students ages 12 and up. Prerequisites include a demonstration of comfortable shifting, a healthy vibrato, a defined sense of pitch and cultivated ear hand connection.
Has perviously played chamber music and has studied privately with a professional for several years.
